Okolie vs Light is an upcoming professional boxing event. It is scheduled for this Saturday in Lancashire. The event features 11 matches, 5 of which are below the main card. There will also be one WBO and one English title fight.
The main event match will see Lawrence Okolie and David Light face off in the pro ring for the first time. There Okolie defends the WBO World Cruiserweight title against Light. In another match, Levi Giles and Michael Gomez Jr. will battle each other for the English Super Featherweight title.
Lawrence Okolie is a British cruiserweight professional boxer. Currently, the WBO World Cruiserweight Champion holds an undefeated record of 18 straight wins. After winning the title from Nicodem Jezewski, Okolie made three successful title defenses. Most recently, he defeated Michal Chislak in a unanimous decision win last February.
David Light is a professional boxer from New Zealand. He currently competes at heavyweight and holds an undefeated professional record of 20 consecutive wins. Last December, Light defeated Brandon Glanton via a split decision to capture the then-vacant WBO International and Global cruiserweight titles.
