LIV Golf just made a successful 2nd season launch at Mayakoba at the end of this February. Now the tour is back again with a brand-new competition in Tucson from this Friday.
LIV Golf makes its way stateside for the first time in 2023 for its second event of the season at LIV Golf Tucson.
Visiting The Gallery Golf Club, LIV Golf welcomes its 48 players and 12 teams to the Arizona desert with Mayakoba winner Charles Howell III and Crushers GC headlining the action.
Captained by Bryson DeChambeau, Crushers GC cruised to its first team title in Mexico and will look for more of the same as LIV Golf hits the meat of its schedule. They are followed closely behind in the season-long standings by Dustin Johnson and the 4 Aces as well as Joaquin Niemann’s Torque GC.
[ez-toc]While the team competition heats up, the individual play still takes center stage. With the first major championship of the year around the corner at the 2023 Masters, players will look to get some competitive reps under their belts between this week and LIV Golf Orlando in two weeks time.
These events will serve as a key barometer for former Masters champions Patrick Reed, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, Charl Schwartzel and Johnson ahead of the 2023 event. Other major champions Cameron Smith, Brooks Koepka and DeChambeau will aim to find some form as well ahead of what will be a busy spring for LIV Golf.

LIV Golf just extended its event count from 8 to 14 within just a year of its inauguration. Moreover, they launched their second season successfully with a newly introduced event in Mayakoba.
The upcoming LIV Golf Tucson 2023 will be another brand-new addition to the tour. The USA-based competition will be played this Friday. Popular Tucson-based Gallery Golf Club will act as the hosting ground for this brand-new event.
Like Mayakoba, a total of 48 professional LIV Golf professionals under 12 teams will be participating in the USA event. They will compete for a share of the giant $20 million purse pool. In addition, the winner’s team is set to get another $5 million winning bonus.
Following the first event, Crushers GC is currently leading the LIV team standings with 32 points. 4 Aces are just below them with 24 points at hand. Fans will be looking forward to Cameron Smith, Joaquin Niemann, and Patrick Reed’s performances in the upcoming event.

LIV Golf Tucson 2023 Tee Times:
LIV Golf tournaments are generally team-based, unlike most popular professional golf tournaments featured in PGA and European Tour. As such, it employs a shotgun start scheduled to start the event. On Friday, the event will start at 10:00 a.m. ET / 08:00 a.m. MST with the opening of Fan Village. Following this, the competition will begin with participants making a shotgun start at 12:15 p.m. ET / 10:15 a.m. MST for the first round.
