Kyle Busch, who competes part-time in the trucks, won two weeks ago in Las Vegas but is not in the field in Atlanta. Smith finished second, with Rhodes, Heim and Majeski making up the top five.
Atlanta Motor Speedway is a 1.54-mile quad oval with the 135-lap race covering almost 208 miles to create the rhyming name for the event. The race’s three stages cover 45 laps each.
Heim won last year by 0.173 seconds over Rhodes after leading for 22 laps and reclaiming the lead on the final one.
