With the featherweight title at stake, and even though Volkanovski is 2-0 on Holloway, the Australian knows that their second fight was limited. Even if he won by a split decision.
But for the fight that’s coming, Volkanovski doesn’t want it to go that far and plans to test Holloway’s chin:
That would be incredible. I’ve always said, ‘You can’t just be known for your granite chin,’ but at the same time, it’s legendary right now.
And if I could destroy that chin and knock it out, it would be a strong statement because no one has done it yet.
But again, it’s obvious that it knows how to suffer damage, and I mentioned that it couldn’t last forever, so let’s see if it holds up this time.
Max Holloway cannot see this fight going the distance like the first two. He swears to finish in three rounds.
And for Alexander Volkanovski, he will be the one who will end the fight and sooner:
I want to finish it and finish it early, and I think I can do it. And again, I feel that this chin is not indestructible. I don’t want to disrespect him, but that chin must be destroyed.
